Heidi Walsh
President and Co-Founder
|
|
Both Heidi and her husband William became interested in the secure document destruction industry in 2003. Federal regulations enacted to combat security and identity theft, combined with a general awareness of the potential for security breaches in corporate America were the catalyst for opening iShred, LLC.
Heidi’s entrepreneurial spirit has helped grow this company since it’s opening in 2005. Her vision of providing professional information destruction to the greater Boston and Providence community is exemplified in the company’s slogan: “Secure Solutions for an unsecured world”.
Heidi graduated from Boston University Sargent School of Allied Health Professions with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She gained experience in the field from 1982-1998, and managed various rehabilitation facilities for her last employer, before leaving the profession to spend time with her two children Jordan and Jacqueline.

William Walsh
Vice President and Co-Founder
|
|
People who know William Walsh know he is passionate about the businesses he is involved in. iShred LLC is no exception.
William, also a graduate of Boston University, is the President and represents the third generation of ownership of Walsh Movers, a company founded in 1924 by his grandfather, Cecil S. Walsh. He is also a Vice President for Recordkeeper Records Management Systems, Ltd., a company owned by his brother Tom, and founded by their father over 30 years ago.
William, along with Heidi, saw the need for secure document destruction alternatives. Both William and Heidi spent over 2 years looking at other facilities, seeing both strengths and weaknesses in what the competition had to offer, before purchasing a plant-based shredder and starting iShred.
